The Comic snapshot will be announced on discord and twitter with at least two full days notice and all wallets (plus those who were unable to mint during pre-sale and resubmitted their addresses) will be eligible to claim a comic from the Library. This claim will be free (just pay gas). The comic tells the origin story of why Professor Gaffer is going to Mars and introduces some of the main characters in the story. This is our first edition and will hold future utility which will include but is not limited to a small governance token airdrop.
The comic has three different rarity covers which are Common, Rare & Epic. We will reveal the Epic cover at a later date.
Your probability of minting an individual comic cover is as follows:
Common = 87%
Rare = 10%
Epic = 3%
Those who have a certain number of MPL NFTs in their wallet will receive improved chances to mint the rare comic covers.
This will be as follows (Common / Rare / Epic):
2-3 NFTs - 57 / 30 / 13
4-6 NFTs - 27 / 50 / 23
7 NFTs - 0 / 37 / 63
8 NFTs - 0 / 27 / 73
9 NFTs - 0 / 17 / 83
10 NFTs - 0 / 7 / 93
11+ NFTs - 0 / 0 / 100
We expect the final distribution will be as follows (presented in a range depending on individuals choice of how they distribute their NFTs): Common - ~67-83% Rare - ~10%-19% Epic - ~3%-14%
Note: these probability uplifts have been chosen to mean that combining your NFTs into a single wallet always gives a greater probability of claiming an epic comic cover relative to the probability of at least one epic comic if all NFTs were split up individually (calculated via 1 - (1-p)^n).
At a later date, all comic owners will be able to make a one-time claim for physical fulfilment of the comic (this applies once per comic - either claimed or bought on secondary). These will be a free claim (just pay shipping).
Merch
Our first tranche of merchandise for the MPL will be available soon. There will be a variety of options available to holders with some exclusives available only to certain skill-tier levels. We will be releasing details on specific items available during May.
